As I see human attachments and people’s sense of acknowledgement of someone’s presence, it surprises me in so many ways.
"Nothing my Friend is lost in creativity. It all embraces us differently. Our job is to merely hug it back." - Don G Anton, July 2022.

Our mind is so powerful that, of the things in our control, we can achieve anything we imagine. Accept that some things are just out of our control.

Literature / Philosophy
Events / Readings
Ahmed Toslim's artistic foundations are shaped by diverse influences across literature, visual arts, philosophy, and lived experience. His early and sustained engagement with the works of Michael Madhusudan Dutta, Rabindranath Tagore, and Kazi Nazrul Islam deeply informed his understanding of poetic form, identity, struggle, and human longing.
His study with Don Gregorio Antón nurtured a deeper orientation toward perception and meaning, blending photographic practice with reflective inquiry. He delved into visual storytelling with Mark A Larson and cinematic expression with Vicky Sama. Simultaneously, Ramona Bell's work on Hip Hop and the Black Experience brought forth critical perspectives on culture and voice, enriching his understanding. Exploring social systems under Holly Scaglione brought ethical dimensions into focus, elements that persist in his creative thinking.
Beyond formal study, time spent with monks and Sadhus in Bengal opened a contemplative dimension, grounded in silence, detachment, and observation. These encounters continue to shape a multidisciplinary practice that moves between image, movement, and thought, always in search of what lingers beneath the visible.
By the Brahmaputra, at the Saint’s Abode
I sat with the sage, in silence profound.
“Write,” he said.
“But I have no pen or paper,” I replied.
“Then write within your mind,” he said.
So I did. And poems began to emerge.
Now, I don’t even try.
The words come on their own—
I simply jot them down sometimes,
Threading a garland
Of letters and sound.
